In 2019, Lucy began to explore and experiment in Cyanotype Printing Process.

This is something that she really enjoyed participating in whilst studying for her BA Hons Degree.

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that creates Cyan-Blue prints. Engineers used this process right into the 20th Century as they found this to be a simple-low cost process to produce multiple copies of drawings referred to as "Blue Prints".

The process uses two chemicals - ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide and reacts to Sunlight /UV Light which leaves you with a blue tonal image.
This photographic process was famously used by Anna Atkins who was a botanical artist and collector in the late 1800's, printing flora and seaweed.

Lucy admired the idea of using natural objects to create these prints.  Lucy explored this creative process after relocating to Somerset and working full time.

Lucy typically enjoying focusing her work around her fascination of Spirituality and feathers. She admires the quote "When Feathers Are Appear, Loved Ones Are Near"  and throughout difficult and unsteady periods, she would often seek comfort in her beliefs.
