Before undergoing her final year of her degree, Lucy took part in a small work-experience programme with a photographer and filmmaker based in King's Lynn whos aim was to create a fine art nude calender for 2015.
Soon afer returning to UCA, Lucy began to focus on the human body. She became fascinated over the form and shape of the body and really loves the idea of how she can manipulate the body to make it look interesting. To begin with, she decided to entwine her photographic practice in with her dissertation writing (she believed that by putting photographic theories into practice she would be able to understand them clearly), and her nude photographs were created under the influence of French psychoanlaysis Jacques Lacan and his essay The Mirror Stage.
